Bel Monte Trail Running Camp

The Bel Monte Trail Running Camp scheduled for Saturday, 2/20 has been cancelled!  Apparently, there is a little too much snow at Sherando Lake.  Here is the report from Dave, the leader of the trail running camp:

Runners,
I just received word from a friend who lives near Sherando Lake Recreation Area and he tells me that the gate to the park is still locked and there is a foot of snow still on the road on the other side. Also, the parking area across the road is still covered in snow and no parking is available there either. Access to Coal road is limited to a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

I know that there were about 15-18 people scheduled to come out this weekend for either or both days and I do apologize for having to cancel and hope that I got everyone who rsvp'd.

The next scheduled training run will be SUNDAY, MARCH 14th, 2010 and I hope the we will be able to run by then.
